A.I.M. Skin Hints at a Snow Covered Map in Fortnite Battle Royal

The A.I.M. skin is the newest skin that players who purchased the battle pass are able to unlock this week. Since the week 7 challenges for season 6 just got released last Thursday it allowed players like me to unlock this skin by completing 7 weeks of challenges. You may have unlocked the skin yourself or just have seen it in the game, whatever it may be; I hope you all think it is cool as I do! This skin also reveals a hint of a snow covered map coming in the future because this skin has frost on its feet and hands. This is a theory that may experts in the Fortnite community have been concluding to since this skin got released and makes sense since winter is around the corner. So what may happen with this snow covered map.

Hypothetically, I think it would be cool to combine with theory with the recent closing of Burger Town in Greasy Grove. Imagine what type of winter themed type of building this building can turn into! My favorite idea is that Burger Town gets cleared out and turns into an ice rink. Imagine running into the building only to start sliding around like you stepped on a freeze trap. This would make looting much more difficult but fun at the same time. I also can see people getting pretty creative on how to eliminate other opponents when sliding on the ice.

Let me know what changes you think will be cool to see if snow hits by commenting below or clicking HERE!

Double Barrel Shotgun VS. Heavy Shotgun In Fortnite Battle Royal

The shotgun in Fortnite is a fan favorite weapon. Most players do not like to enter battle until they have looted a shotgun because they are crucial in close range combat. There are two shotguns that are clearly the best two in the game. The Double Barrel Shotgun and the Heavy Shotgun. These two are the only shotguns that come in the legendary(purple) and epic(gold) tiers. When it come to which one is better it come to personal preference. Here is how I break them down.

Double Barrel Shotgun: 2 shots per round

  • Legendary:
    • Body Damage: 114 health points
    • Head Shot Damage: 142.5 health points
    • Reload Time: 2.8 seconds
  • Epic:
    • Body Damage: 120 health points
    • Head Shot Damage: 150 health points
    • Reload Time: 2.7s
  • Video of Ninja using the Double Barrel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox-7FSFr0dQ
Heavy Shotgun: 7 shots per round
  • Legendary:
    • Body Damage: 74 health points
    • Head Shot Damage: 185 health points
    • Reload Time: 5.9 seconds
  • Epic:
    • Body Damage: 77 health points
    • Head Shot Damage: 192.5 health points
    • Reload Time: 5.6 seconds
  • Video of the Heavy Shotgun being used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6WkJYHE_S8
Conclusion:
Based on the statistics you can see that these weapons are powerful on the battle field yet very different. The heavy is better at father distances then the double barrel. I would use the heavy if you prefer to keep some distance between your opponent. There is really no better weapon close range then the double barrel. It has a wide hit box, short time between your first and second shots and extremely high body damage. I find myself using either weapon. I will use the legendary or epic double barrel shotgun over the legendary heavy shotgun. However, I will use the epic heavy shot gun over any shotgun in the game. Because if this fact I have determined the heavy shotgun being the best shot gun in the game!

Watch xCHA0TICWOLFx Play Fortnite on Mixer

I recently posted a webpage about my favorite Fortnite players to watch on the the online streaming platform Twitch. Well have you ever heard of Mixer? It is the other popular streaming platform that gamers live stream their games. I found an article on HubPages titled Top Community-Focused Streamers On Mixer, written by PrometheusIV that identifies some quality Fortnite players that you can watch on Mixer. Read what PrometheusIV  had to say about the Fortnite streamer xCHA0TICWOLFx below. After the link to PrometheusIV's full article his article begins on this post. Enjoy!

Full Article: https://hubpages.com/games-hobbies/Top-Community-Focused-Streamers-on-Mixer

xCHA0TICWOLFx

xCHA0TICWOLFx is definitely a gamer that you want to follow on Mixer. He supports other streamers endlessly within the community, can dominate some titles like no others, and always offers tips and insights upon how gamers can improve themselves both in-game and as a streamer. He definitely is one of the good ones within the community, and will always give you 110% if you give your best effort!

STREAMING TITLES
"The way a stream is titled is a good way to get the attention of potential viewers. It should have some relevance to the type of game, a possible challenge or even goal oriented. You can also give the title something more to hype it up for the potential viewers. The stream title can also reflect the streamer in how they play the game as well. The games i enjoy streaming are Rainbow Six Siege, a fun and tactical FPS. Battle Royale games like PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Fortnite. The new State of Decay 2, Call of Duty: WWII and OverWatch."
COMMUNITIES & AFFILIATIONS
"Being a part of a community is a good way to have some reliable viewers to help a streamer. Those community members coming by can also help you to interact more. Support like that can help a lot to make the streamer feel positive. Now affiliations with teams and or companies on the channel is also a good way to get your channel out there. To name a few of my affiliations, i have been a squad member of ThugLyfeGaming for a few years now and the TLG community is like a family started by Born Legit. I am also a part of The Den community and The Console Corner ran by xSHEWULFx and GKB one of the most awesome streamers. While not part of this team but i also squad up with SykoPlayz a great person and friend that i enjoy gaming along side for co-streams. Now one of the best products i have ever had the pleasure of trying is by Evil Energy, absolutely the best tasting energy supplement out there and happy to be able to promote there product so that others can experience it for themselves. As a member of a team or company, not only are you helping them with there channel, service or product, they also help your channel. These kinds of affiliations can greatly benefit you and them."
WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT BEING ON MIXER
"When i first joined Mixer it was not as a streamer, but it was to support some good people that i have met through gaming. I had found out that Mixer has a ever growing community. Many great streamers and each with their own little communities growing every day. Everyone that i have met through this service is friendly and supportive. Furthermore it also has great tech support. When i needed any kind of help with the software itself bugging out or interruption in my streams, the tech support responded quickly. So i highly recommend Mixer to anyone who wants to stream or to find a community that you might be looking for."

The History of Video Games

As a Fortnite player I appreciate the changes that Fortnite has caused in the video game industry. As players of the most innovative video game of our generation we can appreciate how far video games as come. Have you ever wondered what was the first ever video game? Well luckily Ian Blake, a publisher of video game articles on the ezine database has found the answer. Ian's article is called History of Video Games- The First Ever Video Game Ever Made? After reading this I hope you all appreciate Fortnite even more! Below is a link to his full article and after that is what Ian wrote.

Article Source: http://ezinearticles.com/?History-of-Video-Games---The-First-Video-Game-Ever-Made?&id=1345968

As an avid retro-gamer, for quite a long time I've been particularly interested in the history of video games. To be more specific, a subject that I am very passionate about is "Which was the first video game ever made?"... So, I started an exhaustive investigation on this subject (and making this article the first one in a series of articles that will cover in detail all video gaming history).
The question was: Which was the first video game ever made?
The answer: Well, as a lot of things in life, there is no easy answer to that question. It depends on your own definition of the term "video game". For example: When you talk about "the first video game", do you mean the first video game that was commercially-made, or the first console game, or maybe the first digitally programmed game? Because of this, I made a list of 4-5 video games that in one way or another were the beginners of the video gaming industry. You will notice that the first video games were not created with the idea of getting any profit from them (back in those decades there was no Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Sega, Atari, or any other video game company around). In fact, the sole idea of a "video game" or an electronic device which was only made for "playing games and having fun" was above the imagination of over 99% of the population back in those days. But thanks to this small group of geniuses who walked the first steps into the video gaming revolution, we are able to enjoy many hours of fun and entertainment today (keeping aside the creation of millions of jobs during the past 4 or 5 decades). Without further ado, here I present the "first video game nominees":
1940s: Cathode Ray Tube Amusement Device
This is considered (with official documentation) as the first electronic game device ever made. It was created by Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. and Estle Ray Mann. The game was assembled in the 1940s and submitted for an US Patent in January 1947. The patent was granted December 1948, which also makes it the first electronic game device to ever receive a patent (US Patent 2,455,992). As described in the patent, it was an analog circuit device with an array of knobs used to move a dot that appeared in the cathode ray tube display. This game was inspired by how missiles appeared in WWII radars, and the object of the game was simply controlling a "missile" in order to hit a target. In the 1940s it was extremely difficult (for not saying impossible) to show graphics in a Cathode Ray Tube display. Because of this, only the actual "missile" appeared on the display. The target and any other graphics were showed on screen overlays manually placed on the display screen. It's been said by many that Atari's famous video game "Missile Command" was created after this gaming device.

Some More Problems With Fortnite

I found a great article written by Haley(last name not disclosed) on HubPages. The full article is Five Things Fortnite Needs To Improve. I recently added a webpage to my website that was also written by Haley about 10 reasons  Fortnite is a better video game than PUBG which you should all read HERE. Below are by 3 favorite improvements Fortnite should make that Haley suggests. I particularly like here first problem about micro-transactions. It does not actually give any advantage to player when you consider ability to play. However, skins and other items that people can purchase can add an intimidation factor if some one has a rare skin on the battle field. There also may be a disadvantage to the "no skins" as players often more aggressively attack players that do not purchase items from the store.

Link to full article: https://levelskip.com/fighting/Five-things-Fortnite-Needs-to-do-Better

1. Micro-Transactions
Micro-transactions make sense in a free-to-play game, however, while Fortnite is free to download. The majority of the challenges and loot and rewards are locked behind a paywall. A single outfit costs about $12 - $20.
Granted the things that money unlocks don't affect the gameplay. Fortnite is still not pay-to-win, but it does separate those who are willing to pay to unlock basic gameplay every season.

Bottom of Form
4. Guns
Guns in Fortnite are a big problem, which is weird for a game that is built around weapons (and building).
Weapons are either overpowered or highly underpowered. The color-coding system is important, it quickly allows a player to see if one shotgun is of a higher quality than another. Quality differences between guns, makes sense, however, headshots at point blank range shouldn't do minimal damage even if a weapon is of the lowest quality.
The same mechanics that make the game easier for a new player to pick up, can become a problem as well. The aiming and shooting mechanics of Fortnite are loose. The mechanics do not give the player the ability to control shots, such as shooting mechanics in other shooters do.
5. Guns Part 2: Death by Shotgun
Another issue that Fortnite has with weapons is how overpowered shotguns are, and they continue to add more shotguns with the updates, instead of more unique weapons.
While specific weapons will be better suited for specific environments or types of contact, Fortnite really has two options: either a shotgun or a sniper rifle.
Assault rifles, pistols, handguns, crossbows, etc. are only useful if you've run out of ammo for your other weapons.

The Problem With The Quadcrasher In Fortnite Battle Royal

The Quadcrasher in Fortnite Battle Royal is the new hit vehicle. This ATV like vehicle has a turbo boost that causes the Quadcrasher to reach extremely fast speeds. The turbo allows you to climb up steep inclines and get major air time when hitting a jump or going off a mountain. Even though this is the most versatile vehicle in the game does not mean it does not has its own problems. Here are some problems I have experienced when using the Quadcrasher and playing against it.

  1. The Quadcrasher is very loud: Yes this vehicle is very loud and will alert your enemies that you are close. It is so loud that is almost sounds a little intimidating. The sound is comparable to a dirt-bike. Check out this link and hear for yourself.
  2. The Quadcrasher causes a lot of damage: I was a victim of a death by Quadcrasher the other day while playing. I see a player in the distance heading straight toward me in this vehicle. I began shooting at the opponent with little luck. When close he hits the turbo and rams into me. I get knocked back, the impact causing all my shield to fall off. It knocked me so high up that I also had fall damage. Before I could gather myself the opponent came in for a kill-shot with the Quadcrasher. I learned my lesson.
  3. The Quadcrasher does not provide the driver with much cover: The second time I was being rushed by a Quadcrasher I was prepared. This time I realize that the driver is very exposed. As the opponent was heading straight at me all I had to do was pull out by sniper fire. I easily knocked the opponent off the Quadcrasher.
Here is our favorite player Ninja doing amazing things on the Quadcrasher!

Comparing the Snipers in Fortnite Battle Royal

The sniper rifles in Fortnite Battle Royal are always a fan favorite. They are one of the most satisfying weapons to get an elimination with due to the level of difficultly. Unlike, Call of Duty where the bullet in snipers gets to the enemy immediately in Fortnight you have to time your shots differently by having to take into account distance and if the target is moving. The bullets will drop down when shooting long distances so there is a need to shot higher and the bullets shoot slower then call of duty so you have to shoot in front of the target. Now I will break down the sniper’s statistics. (links are videos to watch each sniper in action)

  • ·         Bolt-action sniper: The best tier(gold) has body damage of 116 and head-shot damage of 290. Its reload time is 2.7 seconds.
  • ·         Heavy Sniper: The best tier(gold) of this weapon has body damage of 157 and head-shot damage of 392.5. It reloads in 4.1 seconds.
  • ·         Hunting Rifle: The best tier(blue) has body damage of 90 and head-shot damage of 225. Its’s reload time is 1.8 seconds. This gun is unique because to does not have a scope, you just room in slightly.
  • ·         Semi-auto Sniper: The best tier(blue) has body damage of 75 and 187 head-shot damage. Its reload time of 2.5 seconds. However, with this gun you do not need to reload after every shot. You can send off 10 shots before reloading

When determining which one is the best it is all personal preference. They all have their unique advantages and disadvantages. For example, the advantage of the Heavy Sniper is its high damage, but its disadvantage is the long reload time. The hunting rifle lacks a scope but has an excellent head-shot damage. The semi-auto sniper is the weakest weapon, but you can shoot it the fastest. Finally, the bolt-action sniper. This weapon has the least distance between advantages and disadvantages. Its not as strong as the heavy sniper yet second most powerful and it has a reasonable reload time. This is why the Bolt Action is my favorite.

Ninja Streams Fortnite For Suicide Prevention

Here is a very heartwarming story on how the most famous Fortnite Battle Royal player in the world, Ninja, raised over $100,000 in just 8 hours for suicide prevention. How and why did he do it? Ninja was devastated when a close friend of his committed suicide unexpectedly. Ninja felt he needed to do something to not only honor his friend but to prevent others from choosing the same path. On February 6th 2018, Ninja did just that. He used his popularity as a streamer to raise money for suicide prevention. On his Twitch stream he teamed up with Tiltify, a company who specializes in fundraising through streaming platforms to set up a stream where all of the proceeds of viewers subscribing and donating to Ninja's channel went directly to the charity American Foundation For Suicide Prevention. Ninja's original goal was to raise $25,000 for the cause. However, in just a few hours Ninja blew past that mark. When the 8 hours was over Ninja hit over $100,000. Ninja was very emotional for his event and even shocked himself at all the support he received by his fan. Here is some footage the charity event via Ninja's stream.

This story is so inspirational because it shows someone who just plays video games being able to make a significant impact on the the world. Just a few years ago nobody had the followers to raise this much money via a stream. I encourage more video game players to follow in Ninjas footsteps and take a day to raise money for a better cause. The amount of video game players in Fortnite and other video games making a lot of money via streaming has sky-rocketed, and is now another community of people able to make this world a better place for everybody.

Will Fortnite Continue To Grow?

Many gaming experts predicted Fortnite would be a short lived fad and that the Fortnite frenzy would phase out pretty quickly. The game came out on July 25, 2017 and has crushed all growth expectations. By the end of Fortnite's 1st month of being on the market they gained approximately 1 million users. By January 2018 there were 45 million users and then by the end June 2018 nearly 1 year into existence Fortnite users hit approximately 125 million users with that number still rising today(Source). This growth rate is unlike any other game we have seen before. To put this in perspective PubG a game that is the second most popular battle royal game on the market had 3.2 concurrent players. This was the record for most daily users of a game of all time. Fortnite broke that record in February of 2018 with 3.4 million daily users and was on the market for 3 months less(Source)!

Now that you know the record breaking growth of Fortnite I'm sure many of you are wondering if it still will phase out like many critiques think, or is it here to stay for the long run. Here is why I predict that Fortnite Battle Royal is here to stay.

  • There is no risk to try Fortnite Battle Royal. By no risk I mean the game is completely free! If you are unsure whether or not you will like the game you are at no risk of wasting your money. Anyone can download the game and try it out.
  • Fortnite releases new things about the game every week. Every week Fortnite releases new updates about the game, there range from adjustments on the map, new weapons, in-game challenges, items to buy in the shop, and game modes. This keeps a player continuing to log on to see what is new. This aspect has been a big influence of me continuing to play regularly. Check out this weeks update HERE!
  • Fortnite in game purchases keep Epic Games pockets fat and provides them with the resources to continue to further develop the game. In game purchases are what provides Epic Games to have the resources to continually update the game and add more value to its users. Back in July of 2018 Fortnite was generating over 3 million dollars a day in in game purchases(Source).

The Reason Bounce Traps Were Removed From Fortnite Battle Royal

Bounce traps were a very fun part of Season 5. They provided players with unique ways to beat their opponents and travel around the battle field. Many people including me are wondering why Epic Games removed them in Season 6. Luckily I was able to find that information! Matthew Bennett a writer for the gaming website EGM got the scoop directly from the source. Check out his article HERE.

I truly believe Matthew did a great job writing his post. It is too the point and factually accurate. He clearly sites his sources and explains the explanation in a easy to understand way. Below I will summarize his article in a few bullet points. Here are a few more reasons to click this link and check our the EGM website:

  • There is a ton of Fortnite blog posts. This website loves to write about Fortnite Battle Royal.
  • This website is leader in the video game website industry because of the amount of traffic.
  • They post high quality information on nearly every video game out there.
So what happened to the bounce traps?
  • Epic game vaulted bounce traps due to the amount of mobility items out in the game now. They plan on releasing new mobility items in the future and already did this past week with the chiller traps. These traps make you glide across the map link ice skates. Check out the new item HERE. Even though I miss having bounce traps I agree with Epic Games decision to vault the bounce traps and test out new ways to allow players to move around.
Watch this bounce trap greatness! These players built a bounce trap house.

Top 10 Most Wins In Fortnite Battle Royal

Everyone after getting a few wins under their belt starts thinking they are going to be the next Ninja. However, this is simply not the case because the most elite players in the world play all day and everyday. They worked hard to accomplish their status among other player. Here are the top 10 best players based on wins. To see all types of statistics check out Fortnite Tracker. PS everyone has seen/ posted at least one Snap Chat story that looks like my pic below😃

  2. Terry 5L: One can make an argument that Terry 5L is a better overall player then ViniciousAmazing. This gamer has 5,256 wins in only 7,543 matches player. Terry 5L is a much more efficient gamer. Watch the excellence HERE
  3. TwitchUwatakashi: Another quality player. This gamer is from Russia. This probably explains why he has so much time to play the game, because its too cold to go outside! LOL! He has 4,571 wins in 11,755. Watch him play!
  4. xbl (Skunnit ftp): Has 4531 wins in 10452 games. This gamer plays on Xbox. xbl (Skunnit ftp) is an underground gamer. I could not find any videos on youtube of this game. This gamer is in to for the love of the game and does not care about followers on twitch! I can respect that.
  5. Alone XOXO: 4469 wins in 10180 games. Alone XOXO is another underground player. This gamer put in the time to be great just like xbl (skunnit ftp) yet they still do not what the recognition. If it were me I would be trying to make some money on Twitch.

Interview With My Friend Jon About Fortnite Battle Royal

Good evening everyone! Today we have a very special blog which is an interview with my good friend and long time duos/ squad partner Jon. Jon was the first person I ever got a squad or duos win back when Fortnite just came out. Lets hear what he has to say!

  • Where is your favorite place to land? "My new favorite place to land is Paradise Palms. I enjoy Paradise Palms because of the amount of loot and the fact that there are plenty of rifts and ATK's in this area which help for traveling to the circle".
  • How many hours a week do you play? "Wow, this is going to take some time" When I play for a week I tend to play on for 1-2 hours. I probably play 5 days a week. So lets call it 10 hours a week to be safe.
  • What controller settings do you play on? "Builder pro all the way, it just makes sense".
  • What is your favorite weapon? "I like getting up close and personal by staying in attack mode. The gun that allows me to do this best is the heavy shot gun. I also like the bolt action sniper and the scar. It is so difficult to chose just one".
  • Do you have any tips of your own that you would like to share with the audience? One this that has really benefited me is applying the setting titled Auto sort consumable to the right. This places all healthy and shield consumables to the right of your lay out. This is great for dropping into a competitive area with a lot of people. You have time by not needing to sort your weapon lay out".
  • Do you want to play a quick game when I finish this post? "You took the words right out of my mouth".
Do you have any questions for Jon? Please comment or contact me and I will make sure Jon replies!

Review of The Fortnite Battle Royal Workshop Shop

What's up fellow Fortnite players. I am excited to announce that I have opened up a shop on Cafe Press to provide you all with the coolest Fortnite swag on the market. This consists of clothing and merchandise designed by yours truly, Fortnite Al. Here is my own honest and as unbiased review of my shop as possible. Check out the Fortnite Swag Here

  • The website currently just has one design for its various products, however it is pretty cool: As a new shop I am going with just one design to start out. I went with the Black Knight for my product due to it's rarity in the game. With that being said this is something the average Fortnite player should appreciate. However, if you want more variety I suggest finding another website or contact me HERE with your design and I would be happy to publish a design of your choosing.
  • The Fortnite Battle Royal Workshop Shop Has a great variety of products: Yes the Fortnite Battle Royal Workshop Shop does in fact have a lot of selection. This selection consists of T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, mugs, laptop and I-Pad covers, mouse pads, and more! Check it out your shelf from the link in the intro of this post.
  • The swag is a little pricey: Yes you hate to hear it but the prices are higher then I would prefer. Better you hear it from me right? To be perfectly honest I have very little control over the price. With that being said there is no other place on the market that gives their customers complete freedom in designing their own Fortnite Swag designs to get published on The Fortnite Battle Royal Workshop. The customization pays for itself.

The Cube Melting Into Loot Lake is Insanity in Fortnite Battle Royal

HOLY SMOKES, if you have not heard by now, the random giant cube that have been roaming around the map, leaving domes of zero gravity in its tracks has just melted into Loot Lake. It caused the water in Loot Lake to become purple and now you can bounce around on the lake like a mad man. This is absolutely insanity. I have no idea why this would happen. Yes, you can travel across the lake with more quickly. However, it has turned Loot Lake into a place of chaos. More players then ever are landing here and are fighting each other on a purple trampoline that is supposed to be the water in Loot Lake. There is already limited loot in Loot Lake as it is(ironic, I know). All I want to know now is what is the meaning behind this? What does this mean for Loot Lake in the quickly approaching Season 6? And when will players get over the fact that Loot Lake is a bounce house? I personally have had little success either trying to pass through Loot Lake to get in the circle or by battling in the bouncy water. Even though you can pass through this area much quicker, it is loaded with people waiting to pick you off. It is also much more difficult to aim as you are bouncing across the lake. These changes have caused frustration. I am just going to have to adapt.

Players all over the world, good and bad have been shocked by this change. Witness the cube actually melt during the live event on Ninja's stream HERE and see the insanity for yourself. Please comment or contact me with your opinions about the new Loot Lake.

My 2 Cents on Fortnite Battle Royal Constantly Evolving

If you haven't noticed by now Fortnite Battle Royal is constantly changing and updating the game every week. Whether it is changing/modifying weapon types, adding challenges, new map locations, or even the random giant cubes that now appear around the map, the Fortnite Team at Epic Games does this to keep the games new and exciting for all players. Even though I am for these continual changes I still have some critiques that I would like the Fortnite Team to consider next time that make the next update.

  1. Too many changes overwhelms the occasional player. Over the summer when I was working my full time job I would not have the opportunity to play everyday or even every week. On the weekends I would log on with excitement to see what was added. However, more time then not I felt overwhelmed because there were too many changes that occurred and not enough time to truly experiment and adapt my play style to keep up with the daily players. Changes occurred over the summer such as them weakening the shot guns and adding more powerful sub machine guns that cause me to fall below the standard of play that I hold for myself(average). To see all the updates that occurred recently press HERE.
  2. The constant addition of guns restricts the amount of time you will loot your favorite weapons. As Fortnite continues to add more guns, they change the spawn ratios to ensure that each gun gets spawned at their proper rates(never consulted me on these ratios). This is great when a new gun comes out that you think you'll really like, or if they add a stronger version of it. However, it has been particularly frustrating for me when they add variations to existing guns. This just recently happened to me with the purple and gold suppressed assault rifle. Which I just previously blogged about in my v5.40 update post. I do not have anything really against the weapon other then the fact that it has reduced the amount I get to pick up my all time favorite weapon, which is the regular purple or gold assault rifle. We know the game is most fun when you play with your favorites.

Fortnite Battle Royal v5.40 Update

Today the Fortnite Team at Epic Games released yet another content update, v5.40. As a player we must understand that Fortnite keeps making these updates to improve the game and to try out new ideas. It is best not to resent these changes, and to embrace them because they are not going to stop anytime soon. Lets find out what they did this time!

  • Vaulting of the Drum Gun: This change is one that is tough to cope with. The Drum Gun was a glorious weapon that was a fan favorite for many players. The quick fire rate, quality damage, and long magazine clips made this weapon a "power move" on the battle field. Unfortunately,  the Fortnite Team did not clarify why the weapon got vaulted and did not even provide a hint on when it would come back at all. There is still also's a chance! However, many believe if the drum gun does make a return it will not be the same beast it was yesterday. Check out this article from Polygon for more info on the Drum Gun vault  here: Fortnite’s drum gun has been vaulted
  • The addition of the Silenced Assault Rifle: Epic games made a good effort to make up for the drum gun vault by adding the Silenced Assault Rifle. This weapon is not as quiet as the silenced SMG, but you can not successfully utilize the element of surprise from a distance. You can pick this gun up as an epic(purple) and legendary(gold) weapon tier, and it truly lives up to the status. The Silenced Assault Rifle feels great when you use it, 32/33 damage(same as the blue or green), and a mean head shot multiplier. See for yourself!

5 Tips To Successfully Change To Builder Pro In Fortnite Battle Royal

Many of you may be questioning why so many players are able to utilize building for attack and defensive purposes so smoothly to win battles, while you're stuck on the ground. The answer is that the players are most likely playing on the builder pro controller layout(see pic below). This layout changes how you build while maintaining the same buttons for combat as combat pro. The builder pro layout allows you to build multiple building options(such as a wall and stairs) nearly at the same time because you do not need to scroll to select what you would like to build. Now that you see the benefit here are 5 tips to ensure a successful transition to learning builder pro.

  1. Do not get discouraged and commit to the change: Making the change will be frustrating and you will make mistakes at the beginning that cause you to lose battles. Once you change COMMIT. The worst thing you can do is change back to your old controller layout and then confuse the two.
  2. Play Consistently: Play at least once a day until you feel that you have fully mastered the transition. I personally found  from changing to builder pro that if I did not play for an extended period of time that I would be rusty. This is because developing your muscle memory to the new layout is the most important aspect of the transition.
  3. Utilize Playground Mode: Muscle memory is everything. Play on Playground mode where you do not need to worry about your opponents. Resources get collected with a hire multiplier. Playground mode is an excellent practice mode, build away.
  4. Learn The Protected Stairs Building Formation: Builder pro allows you to build while still taking an offensive strategy. The protected stairs building formation allows you to rush an opponent, while getting higher ground safely. As you are building up with stairs press RT and RB before pressing Lt to go up another level. The purpose is to prevent the opponent from shooting out your stairs. Click here and see for yourself (starting at about 11 seconds).  Fully Protected Stairs Video
  5. Quick Build Towers: This defensive building technique is easier to apply then the protected stairs formation and provides excellent cover. If you are taking fire simply press B to open up building, the hold down RT and spin in a complete circle. This will put up walls on all 4 sides of you. Once you are done press LT to make a stair. You can build up as high as you link by repeating the same process.
